In this Summer Edition for 9-1-19 of the What is Truth Catholic Podcast, we hear the readings for the 22nd Sunday of Ordinary Time. Our readings focus on humility. Jesus reminds us to take the lowest place - not to be addicted to honor and prestige. Are we striving to be humble? Are we willing to take the lowest place? Let's contemplate these questions as we celebrate this Labor Day weekend.

in this Summer Edition of The What is Truth Catholic Podcast for August 25th, 2019, we hear the Gospel of St Luke. in this gospel, Jesus is asked will few be saved. He tells the parable of the narrow gate, where few enter. in the parable, many try to get through the gate. The Master of the House tells them that he does not know them. Does God know us? Do we allow Him into our lives? These are some of the questions we are called to contemplate on this 21st Sunday of Ordinary Time. May peace reign in our hearts. Amen.

In this summer edition of the What is Truth Catholic Podcast, we hear the readings for the 20th Sunday of Ordinary Time where Jesus says He has come to set the world on fire. We are asked to contemplate our mission to follow Jesus by helping to continue his mission to set the world ablaze. Obviously, this does not mean we are to become arsonists. It does mean, we are to be on fire ourselves for the Lord, and by God's grace, bring that fire to the world. How can we do that? Some of those answers I hope are in this episode of the What is Truth Catholic Podcast. So please listen.

In this Summer Edition for 8-11-19, we reflect on the readings for the 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time. In our Gospel of St. Luke, Jesus challenges us to know where our treasure truly is and to be good stewards of what we have been given. For we are to account for what we have been given by God. May we be grateful for God's gifts, and know that our ultimate treasure is God - the God who loves us forgives us and offers us the ultimate treasure - the gift of everlasting life.

In this Summer Edition for August 4, 2019, we contemplate the readings for the 18th Sunday of Ordinary Time. In the first reading for this weekend, we hear that the world can be one great vanity that does not last. In the Gospel reading for this weekend, Jesus reminds the people not to be greedy, not to be possessed by our possessions. It is not that possessions are bad, but if we are not careful, they can become our gods that we chase after and hold tightly to. Christ came to set us free, so that we can be filled with His love and mercy.
